Madelene also performs and teaches the baroque flute. She developed a passion for this instrument and the music of this time period whilst studying at the University of Illinois, under the tutelage of Alexander Murray.
Performances on this instrument include: Telemann's Suite in E minor TWV 55:e1 and Handel's Resurrezione with the Baroque Band. Also, J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto 4 with the Stevenson High School Baroque Ensemble.
She performed The Saint John Passion by J.S. Bach with the Chicago Chorale at Rockefeller Chapel, University of Chicago, March 2013 and is very much looking forward to performing St. Matthew Passion with the same group in March 2015.
